Living Life to the Fullest with One Republic’s I Lived
[Verse 1]
Hope when you take that jump
You don’t fear the fall
Hope when the water rises
You build a wall
Hope when the crowd screams out
They’re screaming your name
Hope if everybody runs
You choose to stay
Hope that you fall in love
And it hurts so bad
The only way you can know
Is give it all you have
And I hope that you don’t suffer
But take the pain
Hope when the moment comes
You’ll say…
[Chorus]
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second
That this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
[Verse 2]
Hope that you spend your days
But they all add up
And when that sun goes down
Hope you raise your cup
I wish that I could witness
All your joy and all your pain
But until my moment comes
I’ll say…
[Chorus]
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second
That this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
[Bridge]
Whoa
Whoa
Whoa
Oh
Oh
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
[Chorus]
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second
That this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
[Outro]
Whoa
Whoa
Whoa
Oh
Oh
Whenever an opportunity comes up that involves something that breaks the boundaries, most of us avoid it because of the fear. However, there are those who love to break boundaries. “You only live once,” is what most individuals tell themselves before engaging in something risky or dangerous. An example would be the tornado chasers that dedicate their life for the sake of science. These individuals know very well that what they do is dangerous but the still do it because it’s their passion. With every risk that people take, there are instances wherein people get into accidents or worse, die from doing what they love.
Most individuals who risk their loves to do what they love have planned their future especially what they want to happen when they pass away. Part of taking the risk and living their lives to the fullest is preparing for what would happen if something else goes wrong in their line of work or with the things that they do such as planning for their funeral and looking at cremation costs. As grim as it sounds, most people may not agree why these daredevils do what they do. There can be so many questions that people would probably ask especially to those who died doing what they love.
There is one song that best describes what they believe in. It is from One Republic and it’s called “I Lived.” This song can be one of the unique choices for funeral songs. The song talks about living life to the fullest and without regrets which makes it appropriate for those who live life on the edge and the kind of people who give their all in whatever they do. It talks about learning about life by the mistakes made and to live life with a bang with your head held up high. As the song’s chorus says,
